Book     of       Lamentations                                                                 All Scripture from KJVLamentations is not a hard book to understand and it is a short book…….It is clear it is penned by Jeremiah,who records the accounts of Jerusalem falling,because of corrupt leadership,,and because of their falling,it affected the people as well.Lamentations is WAILING/MOANING—-In this case of the sorrows of Jerusalem,and just like Judah ,their sin was great…….Out of this tragedy,came severe judgement from God….But in all of this,Jeremiah urges repentance,so we will cross reference by going back to  Jer 5:21   Hear now this,O foolish people,and without understanding,which have eyes ,and see not,which have ears ,and hear not.verse 22; Fear ye not Me? saith the Lord,will ye not tremble at My presence,which have placed the sand for the bound of the sea by a perpetual decree,that it cannot pass it,and though the waves thereof toss themselves,yet can they not pass overt it?verse 23 But this people hath a reveolting and a rebellious heart:they are revolted and gone.If you look close at the book of Lamentations it is very closedly related to many of Jerimiah’s Scriptures in his book.The first part of this book reveals the downfall and capture of Jerusalem.due to the disobedience and ongoing rebellion…..As a result of all of this sin and rebellion.God brought judgement which Jeremiah saw and wailed or lamented(hence Lamentations)over its destruction.So as we go through Lamentation .last two chapters,Jeremiah still encourages the people to call on the mercies of God……..for ourselves as well as for others..This is our blessed and only hope….In Christ Jesus….. Quickly Fast Forwarding to Now and the times we are in:There are many references in the bible,Israel,Judah,Jerusalem etc of deep rooted sin and ongoing rebellion……Does this not remind you of our nation america.???????We are again hearing warnings and rumors ,but when rebellion continues and no one wants to listen,then the result is judgment….Why? Because in order to get one’s attention ,sometimes a more sterner measure must be given…….But even in all that,God is still looking to reconcile those whose hearts are ready to receive……..America,must undergo a type of transformation,a shaking up in order for God to do what He has always wanted to do:That is to call the people back to Himself.back to the heart of the Father…….Finally in sumary,the time is now to make sure your heart is right with Him,your spiritual house is in order,and you seek Him with all your soul,mind ,heart and spirit…..John 3:16 says :For God so loved the world,that He gave His only begotten Son.that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish,but have everlasting life.For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world,but that the world through Him might be saved.Mark 8:36 says:For what shall it profit a man,if he shall gain the whole world,and loose his own soul?Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?John 16:33 says:These things I have spoken unto you,that  ye mght have peace..In the world ye shall have tribulation:but be of good cheer,I have overcome the world. There are hard times ahead,but I hope these Scriptures give you comfort and encouragement…….Let not your heart be troubled…….God has already prepared a place for us.,so that we may be where He is……..Anchor yourself in the Word of God and be not thou dismayed……..Build up your faith in the Word of God and be not swayed…Pray and plant your  feet firmly on Holy ground.We are all a body of believers,either just having gone through something,are in something already or getting ready to go through something…….All of these things are just stepping stones to building character in us ,to mold,tear down ,prune and build up, so He can work through us and shape us into becoming more like Him everyday…….
